On the 28th November the Barbican Christmas lights were switched on with hundreds gathering to see the Children’s Lantern Parade. Over 200 school children carrying their lanterns along the Barbican cobble stones. Even the Barbican Prawn this year has been given the Christmas treatment and looks stunning at night!
This lead to the Barbican Christmas Market held over the weekend and onto the 4th December with the Plymouth Barbican Late Night Christmas Shopping Evening, with another following on the 11th.
A number of traders across the Barbican will be open until 8pm offering the perfect time to pop down and grab some unique gifts and maybe a spot to eat in the many restaurants and cafes located on the waterfront or a well earned drink at the many popular watering holes along the harbourside… Mulled wine anyone?
Plymouth Barbican Late Night Shopping Over two nights the 4th and the 11th December, join the Barbican traders as many of them stay open until 8pm giving you an opportunity to browse the many shops and art galleries located on the waterfront.
